Extraction of cellulose nanocrystals from plants (wood pulp), crystals are dispensed onto polymer web produced by a roll-to-roll machine, dried into a crystal film using a hot air dryer, then ground the film is removed and shaped into a biobased alternative for shimmer pigments, glitters and sequins. May be customised to a specific appearance for colour, size and forms.
